Sometimes a lot has happened before breakfast. Messages are read, first questions answered and the next few hours planned in your head. Your day has barely begun and you are already responsible for everything.

Perhaps you think you need to organise yourself better. Yet even the most carefully planned calendar cannot create extra energy. If every free moment is filled with another task, what remains is a very well-organised, very full day.

Notice the small interruptions

Often it is the little things that occupy us: a message we answer immediately, a conversation we keep replaying, an unresolved decision that repeatedly comes to mind.

Notice when you feel especially scattered. Are you switching between work and private messages? Do you often say yes before checking your calendar? Do you end up scrolling at night when what you really wanted was rest?

You don't have to change everything at once. Choose one point you can genuinely influence. Perhaps answer personal messages together during a break. Perhaps respond to a request with: “I'll check and get back to you.” That small pause gives you a chance to decide consciously.
